Accolades to RedEye Professional Post

Alexandria, VA: RedEye Professional Post, of Old Town Alexandria, has won a prestigious Honorable Mention from the 2006 Accolade Competition. The award was received for Redeye’s exciting BET Black College Tour Specials. The BCT is an energetic tour that features historically Black Colleges each week on BET. The final show is jam packed with high-energy college students winning prizes and partying with their favorite celebrities and music artists.

"We make it a point to do our best for any job that walks in the door. Although we have been working on the tour for more than 4 years, we are still thrilled to be recognized once again for our hard work," says owner/editor Laura Douglas.

The Accolade recognizes film, television and video professionals who demonstrate exceptional achievement in craft and creativity, and those who produce entertainment or contribute to profound social change. Entries are judged by highly qualified professionals in the film and television industry. Thomas baker, Ph.D., who chairs The Accolade, had to say this about the latest winners, "The Accolade is not an easy award to win. Entries are received from around the world. The Accolade helps set the standard for craft and creativity. The Judges were pleased with the exceptionally high quality of entries in this year’s competition. The goal of The Accolade is to help the winners achieve the recognition they deserve."

RedEye was also awarded a coveted Telly award for editing "Narcoterrorism", for the Naval Military Investigative Service (NCIS) Narcoterrorism is a high-energy drug use prevention video for the US Navy. It features adrenaline-pumping stories from secret NCIS agents, and convicted drug dealers. To deter US Navy and Marines recruits and personnel from engaging in any illegal drug activity all will view this video.
