Famecast Kicks-Off Season Two Of Its Nationwide Online Competition

Season Two Includes Six New Stages and a Three City Roadshow to Aide Artists in Competing on FameCast

Austin, TX (April 2, 2007) – With a successful Season One coming to a close and the live finals event just around the corner April 9-14 in Austin, TX. FameCast, the first online competition designed to find America's best new artists, launched Season Two of its nationwide competition to discover America’s next big stars. Season Two adds six new stages for a total of 12, including Metal, Spoken Word, Singer/Song Writer, Dance, Animation and Short Film. With a total of 12 stages that now means a total of 12 FameCast Fenoms and 12 grand prizes, each worth $10,000.

As part of its Season Two launch, FameCast will be hitting the road visiting three cities and holding open casting calls for local artists. At these casting calls, artists will perform and FameCast will film their performance to be uploaded into the competition. Casting calls will be held in the following cities:

Stage 1: Pop - The catch-all Stage for those that think their music can fly with the masses. Stage 2: Rock - The Stage for those with a heavier element. From Alternative to Classic. Stage 3: R&B - The Stage for those with some soul. Or some funk. Stage 4: Country - From Classic and Vintage to contemporary Country. Stage 5: Hip Hop - The Stage for big beats, rap and rhyme. Stage 6: Comedy - The Stage for you funny, stand-up types. Stage 7: Metal - The Stage for those who can bring on the head banging, sweat and noise. Stage 8: Spoken Word - The Stage for those looking for an open mic. Stage 9: Singer/Song Writer - The Stage for those who do it all. Write, compose, and sing. Stage 10: Dance - From break dancing to ballet. The stage for those who can move. Stage 11: Animation - Cartoons, Anime, Claymation, Computer Animation. This is the stage for you visual artists. Stage 12: Short Film - The Stage for the next Steven Spielberg or Quentin Tarantino. Artists can submit their performance videos now for the Season Two competition to be unveiled on each stage the first week of May 2007. Artists who upload their performance videos early can get a jump on building their BackStage profile and start building their fan base.
